Porsche 964/993/944 climate control replacement caps

$40.00

It looks like that in my 35+ years old 964 many plastic parts have become brittle and are falling apart.
The latest “casualty” was when the three button caps on the climate control panel of my 964 started to come loose and ended up up the floor mat.

Unfortunately you can not order the plastic caps separately. You need to order a complete switch assembly which runs ~ $200 for the A/C button and ~$400 for the defroster and air circulation button.

Well, I didn’t want to pay that much for some plastic and made my own 3D printed button caps.

DISCLAIMER:

3D printing has it’s limitations and yes the button caps work, are easy to install and also have transparent sections so that the small lights in the button mechanism remain visible, but you can see that they are 3D printed and are not OEM.

In short:

  • Are they “concourse quality”? - NO

  • Do they work? - YES

  • Will I see the difference? - YES

  • Are they cheaper than spending ~ $600 for two switches - OH YES!!!!

IMPORTANT: the button caps are blank, meaning they come without the stickers.
You can order a set of stickers here: https://www.bergvillfx.com/products/ccu-switch-stickers

I have included one picture that shows the blank button caps (as you will get them) and one that shows the button caps with these stickers applied.
